The worse credit card in history : Santander Credit Card
This is the worse credit card I have ever owned. Please make sure you never have one.
Here's my top reasons why to stay away from it until I get time to do a full write up.
1. I was mis sold the card in a branch. They told me it was 0% fee on balance transferes. Even said 'thats why the card is called Zero', I was charged 3% when transfering my 3k balance from another card.
2. I made a complaint regarding the above charge and was never contacted back regarding it. Each time I chased I jut got put through to somebody else who could not deal with it.
3. Website ; There online banking system is simply a joke! It is badly laid out but more to he point you can only pay the minimun balance or the full balance, nothing in between!
4. Website : I setup a monthly direct debit on their website for the full balance, then found out the direct debit did not work and i had been charged £12 late payment and £58 intrest!
5. Telephone banking - dont go there! What a joke, you have to go through at least three automated systems before you get to talk to a human. Then the human will insist on transfering you to another department. Or better still they will cut you off and you have to start again. They also have a voice recognition system which 'trys' to help you quicker, but its crap.
6. Telephone banking - foreign call centers, need i say anymore. You get transfered to a foreign call center, who you can't understand and can't hear properly. Then they transfer you and cut you off!
okay, rant over. Note Ihave just spent 2 hours calling Santander from Florida to try and sort out a 'late payment' charge and clear the balance on my card. After 2 hours and about 10 differant people I did get it sorted. Although I can not cancel my card until the payment has cleared, in 3working days. Why can't this be instant? I paid from another Abbey account!
